Local Hearts’ personnel provide Personal Assistance Services defined as the routine ongoing care or services required by an individual in a residence or independent living environment that enable the individual to engage in the activities of daily living or to perform the following physical functions required for independent living, including respite service.
Services include:
Personal Care Services– Will include bathing, dressing, grooming; feeding; exercising; toileting; positioning; assisting with self-administered medications; routine hair and skin care; and transfer or ambulation provided by a trained caregiver.
Housekeeping/Errands– A trained caregiver will be assigned to assist the client with daily or weekly housekeeping chores, pet care, shopping/errands, accompany to medical appointments, ect.
Sitter/Companionship/Respite Care– A trained caregiver will be assigned to assist to provide companionship to the client during the hours that other family member may need to be away to work, on vacation, or other events. This may include involving the client in their favorite past time or hobby. The caregiver is also there to prepare a meal and provide stand by assistance as needed.
